Incident 10. The Team was called out today at 13:10 to assist South West Ambulance Service Trust with the extraction of a young lady who had been training for Ten Tors. Our casualty was between Sittaford Tor and Fernworthy Forest , an area usually covered by North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team, but they were already dealing with a casualty near Belstone so we were tasked. We deployed our team to RV at Fernworthy Reservoir, and went from there to reach our casualty. She had been looked after by a doctor who had been nearby, and our team packaged and stretchered the casualty to a waiting ambulance at the edge of Fernworthy Forest. We asked for assistance from Devon and Cornwall 4x4 Response to transport the adult who had been waiting with the casualty back to his vehicle. This was the first deployment of our new Hilux after being fitted out with a new storage area and off-road modifications. The team members were stood down at 15:19 and team vehicles were back in our Rescue Centre at 16:20
